That's TW's biggest problem for me. They introduce mythology but they don't always fully explore it. Werecoyotes, werejaguars, skinwalkers. So much left unexplained about these creatures.
Back to Midnight for a moment, just notcied something, all those images we've been uploading are related to Season One, shouldn't that be the page that we add them to? I feel like that entire multimedia section on the Tv series page should be moved to the Season One page. Thoughts on this?
No problem. I noticed it was a lot of image, thought you could use some assistance. I know how tedious it can be. It definitely would've been a lot easier for me if I wasn't in mobile.
As I was formatting the Minor Characters page on another wiki I admin, I realized we hadn't come up with one yet. So how do you think we should go about this? I feel we should be prepared for this. I wasn't ready, and bc of that I'm just now getting around to it on that wiki. I fell behind. I've never been a fan of the TVD/TO minor character pages. I always felt it lacked important details of the characters.
No I completely agree anything that we can create now to make things easier in the future would be great. So Yes, we should have one.
I too am not a huge fan of the TVD minor character page. Some minor characters have contributed to the plot/episode and more than a name and picture would have been better. I actually like the Van Helsing format. I due have a concern though about how/who is listed as minor and how many will be listed on such a page (will we list only those that are named/credited -- i.e. gang member 1-3 or dead man, etc.,)
Edit: I'm also a stickler for organization, what do you think about an Episode tag for Images.. I.e. Pilot, Bad Moon Rising, etc., that way should a particular image be sought from a particular episode it could more easily found
Exactly. You get it, although some characters are minor, they do add to the plot, so at least a quick summary of what they did would be helpful.
I'm not too concerned with extras like gang member 1-3, if they don't do anything then there's no point in adding them to the page. but those that actually have lines would be added. As for a gang of guys, if they're all minor characters that don't really stand out, then I think the appropriate section header would be their gang name. Like 'Sons of Lucifer' would lead that section and the episode summary would cover the entire gang and what they did. However, if any of them are actually named with some lines, then they would of course receive their own section.
I've been too busy of late to really focus much on here or TVD.
I agree I'm not a fan of the new (proposed) layout. Seems like TVD will be a practice run that they can toggle on and off though so maybe it will not be a permanent fixture and can be left up to individual wiki's admins
If they can successfully find a way to make the navigation bar look better then I'm ll for it, but that isn't it. I'd rather they leave it alone. The re-branding to Fandom was also a terrible idea that rarely anyone wanted. I saw the blog in which they posted about this on, and majority of the comments were negative. Switching to Fandom was awful, especially whenever every wiki isn't about a show or a movie, you wouldn't call the WWII wiki, a Fandom
That's the point that everyone in the comments were trying to make but the Staff didn't care. That's exactly what I think when I hear the word fandom, teenage girls who ship Bella and Edward. There's a negative connotation attached to that word, so it makes no sense that they would pick Fandom.
That sucks. You'd think that the Staff would listen to the collective voice of the users across all wikis but I guess not. I'll have to explore around CC some more about this new change they are planning to implement.
Smh, then what is the point of asking for opinions then. If the Wiki-wide community does not like a new feature, how does introducing that feature "improve" the site.
Idk I guess if they do make it a permanent feature we will just have to adapt to it. Very rarely to I find general websites that use side view links like they are proposing, the drop down menu style of the Nav bar is much more easy to use and less clutter. I'll explore it more sometime later this week/end. I have my final tomorrow and a couple other deadlines for work so I'll probably remain semi-active for the majority of the week. Off to bed for an early day :)
Many users have asked the same thing. What's the point of our input if it will only be ignored. The staff instates whatever they feel serves the community best. Which means that awful looking new navigation bar will be the future of wiki.
It's just so bulky and weird looking but we'll have to adjust. Nothing has been finalized, hopefully, they come up with a better design. Well, Good luck!
Now, I'm getting a little annoyed. I was also sure we'd receive it last month. Midseason starts next month, what the hell is NBC waiting for to release the schedule? They have to do it this month, I just hope it's soon.
Well they released the series premiere date of Emerald City for Jan 6 (Friday's at 9pm) and I believe they also just announced Blindspot's return (Jan 4th I think ird, date and time). Seems like they are announcing individual shows, though I've not seen any trailers for EC, other than the one Shae posted about for spoilertv.
I noticed Emrald City too. Why couldn't Midnight be announced as earlier as that show was a long with the early midseason premiere. The only show I watch on NBC is the one that's being held on, this is killing me.
I wasn't expecting it either. Not that I put much faith in online petitions, but I saw one floating around and wish Netflix would pick it up. There is/hasn't been anything like it before and should keep going.
It's funny you mention petitions. I just finished watching Teen Wolf (solid episode BTW) and the fans have been petitioning non stop since they announced this would be the final seasons, they want Netflix or another Network to pick it up. When it was first announced, they raided Netflix's IG page. Flooded the comments with pick up Teen Wolf and stuff like that. That Fandom is passionate to say the least.
That's how a lot of people feel. But honestly, I'd still watch. JD referred to Liam, Hayden, Mason and Corey as Teen Wolf 2.0. Even though I don't like Mason or Corey, I'd still watch if they led the show bc they'reinteresting together.
That's my problem, it had a slow start but ep 3 was good and ep 4 was better. So yeah, we're at 6x04. Peter returns next week. Can't wait for that.
They are interesting but Idk if they would be on their own.
One of the last scenes I remember was the part where Hayden didn't think Liam would be a good 'Alpha' once Scott level. I thought it was a little funny, but technically he wouldn't be an alpha and he seems like a weaker version of Schott.
Other than a few of the main cast, Hayden would probably be my favorite. Well glad to hear some of the other characters are progressing, hopefully the plot too.
I wish they'd just have introduced magic and the whole Darach big bad. That way it would have been a little more diverse in Mythology (expanded Deaton's role, and made Stiles magical), but considering it's taking like 6 seasons to explain Lydia, I'm glad they didn't. Though if/when Scott leaves, they will need more muscle because Liam is not an Alpha and doesn't possess that strength, yet I assume.
I also liked Hayden the most out of the 2.0 character. I just started liking Liam this season.
I feel like TW would've added an interesting twist if they introduced magic. JD likes to create his own mythology often. I would've liked to see it. Deaton probably has a ton of past history that they've yet to explore, that could've been their window of opportunity. Haha. Good point. But I guess I'd rather have unexplored mythology then completely retconned mythology *cough TVD/TO cough* Idk. Liam can be pretty strong when he's angry, one of the strongest according to derek. And Scott was also a Beta/Omega while protecting the town, it could work.
Lol Very true about the retcons. Deaton I think has a lot of mystery around him that would have been a great thing to explore. His time with Talia, the other alphas, his 'dark' past if I remember correctly. Sad they skipped that.
I did forget about Liam's anger issue. Though directing that anger into strength and completely losing control (likely the latter) is a huge difference.
Scott had help though. Liam does too, but if they don't back him, then would he really make a good 'alpha'. I feel like Scott is trying (i.e. the lacrosse captain stuff --btw glad they are bringing that back).. but I feel like he's started to take it seriously too late.
Its a injustice to the character really. I would like to have seen his introduction into this world and how he got involved with the Hale family.
That's true. Liam's biggest problem is his temper, he can't control it. He actually tried to kill Scott, which is a big no-no
Hayden can back him up physically, Mason can back him up mentally, but I honestly dont trust Corey. He's not a fighter, he's not smart, most of the time he just hides. What does he contribute to the 2.0 pack?
Corey is nothing but a love interest for Mason. His power is useful in all of like 2 instances and even then, given the opponent, its not even that effective. He even said it himself, all he can do is hide, he has no claws or fangs. Mason is the Danny 2.0, which really isn't hitting on much. He can provide Mentally sure, but with Hayden all up in his head and love and what not, he, like Scott, probably wont listen to him. He is kinda like the Stiles 2.0 too, but not into the research or the cop connection. Hayden is more level headed and if it wasn't for being a chimera would probably be a good alpha to be. Liam would be good if he was able to control his temper.
I hated that bad writing. Liam actually tried to kill Scott yet he is forgiven at the snap of his fingers yet Scott couldn't trust Stiles about Theo and the killing of the wendigo chimera. smh.
There's almost nothing I hate more in televison than a character that's only purpose is as the love interest. It's just a waste of character and screen time. I hate that he acts like such a punk ass most of the time, I get that he doesn't have fangs and claws but I've noticed that a lot of people have forgotten that Corey has super strength. He could contribute more in the fights if he wanted to. I don't hate Mason but I just don't care for him. It's the same way I feel about Stiles, so I guess he is Stiles 2.0. the smart best friend to the leading werewolf. Out of the 4 of them, Hayden has always been my choice as alpha, and she isn't a Chimera anymore, Scott have her the bite in the final, she's a werewolf, meaning she could become an alpha.
That was just so poorly done. It was rushed and very little of it made sense. I don't like how they did that. Liam was forgiven too easily, and the way Scott just turned on Stiles was OOC.
Lol I didn't realize he had super strength. And Hayley is no longer a chimera because she died? I vaguely remember something about Scott givin her or Liam wanting him to give her the bite. Hmm maybe they will twist it up and have her alpha then. :) Stiles contributed way more like like two episodes then Corey or Mason. Him and Lydia though hopefully will be a little more front and center with the banshee action soon.
That is one of the reasons I just don't care for Scott anymore.
He used it in an episode or two but not once since then. That's probably why no one remembers. He was lifting a ton of weights with no problem, he also broke his locker door, so it's there. Hayden was injured by The Beast in 6x20, she wasn't healing bc she was a Chimera. Scott bit her and she became a werewolf. That's true. I don't care about Stiles but there's no denying his contribution. There's gonna be an upcoming flashback with another Banshee, so they'll be getting to it soon.
I haven't cared for Scott in a long time. He gets his ass kicked too frequently. He often makes bad decisions. And he'd rather let innocents die than to just kill the bad guy.
He's always been a poor leader imo. Leaders have to make the tough decisions and he's always avoided them or had someone else do them for him. He was so willing to Kill Peter for the possibility to be cured, yet after he became an Alpha he was all passive and let the actual killers go free. Smh it is the Alpha's job to protect the pack, BH, etc..
I never got the Chimera into a werewolf thing. She was a chimera, an experimental Hybrid and was dying, why did the bite even work on her. Another not fully explained plot point I guess.
I agree. Derek often handled the dirty work. That's one of the reasons I liked him, he was willing to do what had to be done, like with Jackson being the Kanima. Jackson needed to be killed, had he been, then a lot of people who are dead now, wouldn't be. Scott cant make the hard decisions, like killing for the greater good. That's one aspect I feel Liam would be better at, if it came down to killing the bad guy in order to save the pack and BH, he'd do it.
Chimeras aren't actually supernatural, that's why they could cross mountain ash like humans, so since she wasn't a real supernatural, I guess Scott was able to turn her into one.
Deaton was in ep 2 I think, but he hasn't been back since.
No doubt about that, Liam being naturally angry combined with his feelings for Hayden, plus the supermoon equals a terrible combination. But he's learned from that, so I don't think he'd ever attack Scott again
That's an interesting way to look at it. I hadn't even thought of it like that. I like that, pseudo-supernatural. I guess because they were created by science instead of Supernatural means, they weren't actually Supernatural. That's always been my explanation for it.
Yeah I guess Liam's learn from that. They are so repeating S1 though with Scott 2.0... lol so caught up with Hayden and not performing well in Lacrosse, hopefully they will change a few things up soon.
I still don't understand how the supernatural can be replicated with science, but I guess Deaton saying something along the lines of that the supernatural can bend is there way to explain it.
I've been thinking the same thing. They should stop trying to make 2.0 characters replacements for the originals and shape them into their own character with new stories.
That was my biggest problem, it was never actually explained how they managed to do this. We were never given any details on how one can replicate supernatural traits with science. I guess it goes into the unexplained pile.
I never know if I'm watching TVD live until the moment it comes on. It can't keep my attention anymore. Often feels like a waste of time.
Hopefully, she's right about it being early 2017. That would be great. They really need to release a date already. I was just wondering if they had done any tv promotion for the show. I barely have time to watch tv, so I wouldn't know.
I hope it is early too. I've not seen any promotion at all. I mean I barely watch TV, but apparently enough to see a trailer for EC.
I mainly watch it for the Bonnie episodes and to help keep things updated and to revise poor edits right after the show airs, that way Jolsarygt is not alone in fixing things. Some users get way to excited about certain things (supposed deaths and whatnot) and don't think about the edits before publishing them.
The only reason I'm watching is due to this being the final season and I know their stories are coming to a end. But if it wasn't the final season and they had still killed Tyler off the cheap way they did, I'd officially be done right now. That's true. Tyler status was edited like 10 times that week of the cliffhanger when Damon bit him. They're quick to change a status. I use to edit a lot more when I first joined but now it feels like a chore to even watch the show after all they've done for it.
Yeah I've nearly given it up a couple time throughout its run. Finishing it to the end though, might as well.
Tyler's death was cheap and uncalled for. They just throw away their character like trash. (God I hope it is different BTS and between the actors).
I'm still upset that Bonnie has yet to reclaim her magic and we're at the midseason finale. This show infuriate me to no end some times. I use to edit more, still try to, but I do kinda agree about the chore comment; it is no fun when no one seems to care anymore. Karen once told me there are like 300 active users a month and yet character episode synopsizes are still lacking back to the beginning of s7 (for main characters). The pages will likely remain unfinished well after the show officially ends. Once it is finished though, I might try to watch an episode a day (every few days) and update pages related to that episode. I still want to help but it seems like even with the new episodes, comments are slowing down and editing is fewer.
Do you still update Teen Wolf and Van Helsing wikis?
S5 was Delena fest but S5 was the first time I had ever thought about quitting TVD. That season was an abomination. They need to erase the entirety of that.
His death didn't even feel real at first bc it made no type of sense for several reasons. Damon left him alive. Werewolves heal. When Damon killed him it looked liek it could've been a hallucination or a dream. Why a cliffhanger? Why disrespect a TVD veteran by killing them off in such a piss-poor way? I just dont get it.
I'm actually surprised that they've gone this far without her getting her magic yet. I expected her to have it back by now. With Stefan and Damon going dark side, she'll definitely need it now. I don't see Matt, Enzo and Caroline being much of a threat to both of the Salvatores. I had no idea it was that many user but I am aware of the lack of info on character pages. That's what happens when a show sinks, people lose interest n watching, therefore they lose interest in editing. Haha, I guess we should blame JP for the falling behind of the TVD/TO wiki.
Yeah. I was on the Teen Wolf and Van Helsing Wiki earlier today. I'm constantly editing on those wikis bc I enjoy it. I actually edit on two separate Teen Wolf wikis.
I can't stand the main ships and the fan-ships... ugh most of them are petty and the constant bickering about them is pointless. But a show shouldn't revolve around a ship, especially a supernatural show (this isn't a soap opera).
Tyler's death was a huge disrespect for his character. Most instances I didn't have issue with Tyler but for a main character that was horrible. And I completely agree. He was a freaking werewolf with supernatural healing. He should have healed (super crappy and dumb writing on JP's part).
Before the Flame of Imprisonment I really though she had it back and in the same instance TVD let me down. (Idk why I expected something different). Yeah they wont stand a chance against time especially if they can't kill them and who even knows if desiccating them will even work now. They need magic and they need Bonnie.
I've learned so much from CC about wiki (TVD Stats). I found out how to change Admin and Bureaucrat titles, like how the Salem Admin are labeled as Elders. lol I really like the personalization. I though the new episodes would bring people back but I guess they are fleeting. Oh well. I guess unless it is abandoned, they will eventually get completed..
I didn't realize there were two TW wikis.. That's cool. How do you manage like 5 wikis? lol I spend the majority of the time on TVD/TO which is like 2 in itself.
Same here. I despise 99.9% of ships. I like friendships, brotherly bonds, like Tyler and Matt (TVD) or Scott and Isaac (TW) but as far as romantic ships, couldn't care less. I can tolerate the romance if there's a balance, JP lacks that understanding of balance.
I've always knew that JP didn't care much for Tyler, that was obvious just by the writing. I just didn't expect the blatant disrespect.
We were all on chat for that episode. I remember. They played our asses, for a brief moment, we thought she had her magic back. MFG is screwed if Bonnie doesn't get her magic back.
I've been wondering how to change the title since we were given our rights. I was thinking about changing it to something like "Midnighters" since that's what the townfolks are called in the novels.
There's quite a few TW wikis. There's (The-teen-wolf), (MTVS Teen Wolf), (Teen-Wolf-pack) (French teen wolf). Those are just the ones I can remember at the moment. I only edit on two but mostly just the main teen wolf wiki. It's pretty much the official one. Everything's up to date. And the Bureaucrat there has keeps in contact with Jeff, often doing interviews and posting them. But it's definitely exhausting. VH is over next week. so that's one wiki down. And this one doesn't require etoo much attnetion at the moment. So in a week, it'll only be two wikis I actually edit on.
I guess if I like any ships it's the minor ones and they are few and far between. I like the friendships and the bromances but season arches that solely focus on them or love triangles etc, I can't stand. That is not realistic, that is some fangirl attitude that can't control their hormones.
You'd think with as long as they've worked together, she would have had a better out come, whether there is something going on with the actor and her idk but she should have better respect for her character that she created than to just throw them aside and treat them like trash.
Magic-less Bonnie is probably because either JP hates Bonnie (wanting to drag her down in this helpless phase) and/or budget. Though if they can afford CGI and all these guest characters she keeps promising well, then the former is more likely.

Do you want to change it for the bureaucrat group or the admin group and what about the other (or we can wait till we've seen the pilot to know more?)
Hmm that cool. I browse the TW wiki every now and then though I've not contributed there. Especially now, since it is also going off, feel like there is no point.
I can't stand a show that solely focuses on a relationship, especially on supernatural shows, it's just poor writing. Any writer that believe this is the appropriate method to a show such as this, shouldn't be a writer.
I know Trevino had to have felt some kind of way about his character being killed off like that. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something going on between those two. There's apparently something going on between her and Nate. No one knows what it's about but RATW jokes about it being over Nate eating JP's yogurt.
Nah. She just hates Bonnie, that much is obvious. Ive always said that Bonnie and Tyler get treated the worst and if Bonnie wasn't the witch that could do all the Spells, she'd be written off all the time too.
It could be either bureaucrat or admin, it really doesn't matter to me.
Haha. I get what you mean. It's like what's the point now that the show is ending
Yeah there needs to be a balance and right now it is so out of balance on TVD. They should have went/stayed "dark".
You know what I saw a comment or something about yogurt and that is was so far out in left field, I didn't know what was going own. She's been hating on him to. Probably why Claire left/on guest stars.
Have you seen the new TVD promo?
Check our your profile page. I've changed it to Midnighter.
That's what happens when you leave a fangirl in charge of a supernatural show. JP doesn't know the meaning of dark.
The yogurt is just a joke but there's definitely something going on there. Maybe they told her how terrible her writing skills are. I'd pay to be apart of that conversation. There's no question that Claire's exit had more to do with BTS stuff.
New promo? Not sure. What happens in it? I saw the sneak peek with Cade and Stefan.
I like "dark"... Salem is dark and to an extent Grimm is dark (undertones at least -not like Salem though).
Yeah it's sad that you have "The Originals" and its doesn't even focus on the originals and they freaking keep killing them off. Mikael (shame), witch Kol (shame, but Nate came back), Rebekah (daggered or cursed the entire season -shame), Finn (destroyed again)... smh
Sneak peek/promo same thing I guess., but yeah the one with Stefan and Cade. Seems interesting enough.
Thanks. Let me know if there is anything else. I look through old forums and stuff on CC about how other wiki admins wants to update/improve their wikis.
Absolutely. I definitely prefer my shows to be dark, however, I have been known to enjoy the lighter shows occasionally.
It's pathetic that they allowed it to come to this. The writers don't even like the Mikaelsons, why write a spin off for them? Just to introduce Hope and Hayley? It's absurd that they would go that far. Klaus is always the blame. Elijah is a hypocrite, he's not nearly as awesome as he once was. Mikael, and Finn are dead. Kol was resurrected only to be written off. It's clear what characters these writers would rather focus on.
I'm 100% sure this upcoming flashback with Stefan is off his Ripper days. I'm so ready for that, even more ready for the present day Ripper to make his return.
Will do. I often go to CC for stuff like this too.
Out of all the rippers, I guess Stefan was the best and Cade will probably use that to explain why he wants him, though they just had Enzo get his humanity back and Damon is still, well Damon (Is it still off?) I really don't want them to repeat it with Stefan (for what like a 4th time?) I can't see it being any different than before or how it would affect the last 8 episodes.
It truly is a shame with the TO. When you have 1000 year old vampires that are responsible for so much death and destruction why try to redeem them, why introduce a "miracle" child and a swamp thing that should not be relevant. They might as well as rename the show or do a spin off with them just to see how much they are hated. Straight up TO were so much better on TVD and the original Esther was so much a better villain (wished she had more than like 6 episodes because half them she wasn't even the main focus).
Side note: The Flash and LoT midseason finales were pretty awesome! (Arrow was eh, lacked luster)
That's true. But we've been hearing about the Ripper of Monterey since S2. The guy that killed countless people and tore villages apart. They have to show us that. But since this is TVD, they probably won't or if they do, it won't be as cool as they made it seem.
The redemption story never made since but tha JP's style. Redeem all bad guys. They should've left the Mikaelsons as they were, a dysfunctional, but entertaining family of vicious vampires. If TO ends, I could definitely see them going for a spin off with Hayley and Hope. No way in hell would I watch that but I could see JP going for it.
Damn! I missed LoT. Exactly what I meant about not enough time. I'll have to get to that this weekend.
As long as it is the Ripper of Monterey and not a rehash of the ripper that we've already seen, then I'll be fine with it. I mean heck at this point they are liable to have Caroline turn Humanity off too.
I bet JP's pitched it and no way I'd watch it either. Not a fan of the she-devil and the pointless spawn. The redemption arcs are beyond stupid. That is one of the reason why I loved Kai so much because he was just pure evil for the sake of being evil.
LoT was great the last 2 minute ending was out in left field and a little confusing. The best part of Arrow was the last 2 minute ending lol. Flash was good overall.
Lmao! Evil Caroline was just terrible. She was not threatening at all. I really hope they don't resort to that again. By far the least scary vampire to even exist.
Ha. Wouldn't surprise me if she did. I like this universe but you couldn't pay me to watch The Swamp Diaries. Kai was a breathe of fresh air, espeically after enduring the train wreck known as S5. He was just a pure sociopath. I enjoyed that so much.
LoT is really good this season. S1 was good but this one is better. I like that the reverse flash is around. Gave up on Arrow. And Flash was also great.
Caroline gets on my nerves almost every episode. Damon choked her up, I enjoyed that. I was hoping he'd do a little more. The funniest thing to me is that there are actually people who think Caroline can beat Damon.
That's why I'd be happy and a little depressed if he came back. I'd like to see Kai one last time but it runs the risk of JP ruining his character.
Gigantic CGI budget. I still remember that fight between Ray and Vandal Savage's huge leviathan robot in S1. That had to cost a lot. I'm not sure about the ratings either. I'll probably check them later.
I want to see kai again too. Supposedly his tweet is eluding to that fact so I guess January can't get here fast enough. I wondering what episode he would appear in.
I was really hoping that we would have seen a flashback of Grams and Bonnie when she explained about the psychic energy stuff but maybe Grams will come back to help her get her magic back. I can only hope.
Sadly there is a rumor going around that there will be a 1yr time jump so we may very well skip over the entire ripper part. Know anything about this?
I know another retcon I guess. I mean she was right there literally two steps behind Alaric when he first used it against Sybil.. smh.
Ugh Idk I'd prefer that they kept psychic and witches separate and that whole article about psychic energy was blah. Imma bit pissed if they end up making Cade the "first" witch (even in death), that or if he is related to the Bennetts. As much as I like the Bennett Line, I'm not a fan of cade atm.
I can see them skipping over the entire ripper year and it will be about Stefan either wanting to continue as Cade's servant and turning it back on or something else. They will probably only give use glimpses into that Just like how he "met" Seline in the previous flashback.
I couldn't care less about Cade. But there's a good chance he's a Bennett and possibly the first witch. I could see them going with both of those scenarios. That's pretty mcuh how it always goes with black witches though, they're often Bennett's. The only good thing that could come from this is if he's the key to Bonnie getting her magic back.
I definitely see that happening. After killing so many people, Stefan may not feel like he deserves to go back to his normal life. I also think they'll give us brief flashbacks of what happened during the time jump
As much as it would interesting to have a line of magic extending back to the beginning of magic, I don't care for Cade and him being the original source (though I wouldn't put it past JP to do it) would just be disrespectful to the Bennett line. Idk why he would even help Bonnie (she would likely be a part of the reason of him being taken down).. I'd rather it be Grams.
I kinda feel like the ultimate ending would be both Damon and Stefan dying... like Jean Grey in X-men 3 where she gains back enough control and she's like "Kill Me". Stefan wanted to die in the last flashback. He (and Damon) could do everyone the favor..
Agreed. At least the actor is decent. Imagine if he was as terrible as Nathalie Kelley.
Grams would be the logical solution, the key word being logical, something JP isn't familiar with. I don't think there's anything they can do now that'll surprise me. Pregnant Caroline definitely took me for a spin though
A lot of people feel that way, myself included. I believe Ian has also said that he would prefer that ending. Damon can go to hell. Stefan tries to be a nice guy but deep down he will always be the Ripper, a savage murderer. so he should go to.
Eh idk. I don't really have a problem with her I guess. I've seen worse lol.
If JP did anything logical it would probably floor me. I have hope for Grams though (that BTS pic of her on set with K.G., fingers crossed).
I think what Cade said to him about Elena resonated with him. Maybe that will ultimately lead to the Salvatores' death and everyone will have a happily ever after without them. (again this is logical which is not a part of JP's skill set.)
Lol. Me too. I ge it. You can't give up hope, without that you're likely to just quit TVD immediately. I have hope, but for Tyler to appear one last time. Trevino has been on set since Tyler's funeral episode, so thats whats keeping me going.
I hate that it did resonate with Stefan. Elena made her own decisions, she chose to keep the Salvatores in her life. And lets not forget that she was doomed from the beginning bc she's the Petrova doppelganger. Regardless, the logical ending would be their deaths
I like Seline much more than I do Sybil (I guess I just tolerate her atm). Though I do hate that Seline killed Georgie.
I do hope we see Tyler again. Though, not that I want to see him being tortured, we will likely see him in Hell given that if Georgie can go there after accidental vehicular manslaughter, then he will be there for killing that girl (that originally triggered his werewolf gene) and Liv.
So true Elena was doomed from the start. I mean Mikael found her like 10years prior to Stefan showing back up to town and Isobel was compelled by Klaus, though idr when that was exactly. She may have gotten a free extra years before Klaus came around.
Yeah they definitely need to go, especially Sybil.
I wonder what it mean when it's stated that he "feeds" on them. I mean he is a psychic ghost, do I highly doubt it is anything like a vampire unless it is "psychic energy" which doesn't even make sense either.. he's dead and apparently can come and go when he pleases so idk his deal.
That's true but I think that if she wouldn't have been involved with the supernatural she could have stayed hidden, longer --I personally like the Doomed from Birth. Although, if Mikael would have killed her then Abby would never had left Bonnie (just another thing I can dislike Elena because of her existence)
He's a psychic, so he shouldn't be feeding on anything. Maybe it was a metaphor, I hope it was, other wise its just more nonsense. I'm still a little surprised they brought back resurrection after all this talk about getting rid of the other side for this exact reason.
Nah. She wouldn't have stayed hidden longer. She was Doomed from Birth. Katherine knew about Elena long before the Salvatores came back to town. Haha. There's no shortage of reasons to hat Elena.
Cade us getting on my nerves especially with the granting immortality and resurrection... like that's not explained and as a psychic how is that even possible. I swear immature flip a switch if JP makes him related to the Bennett's and/or the first witch. Smh.
Yeah I guess that was Katherine's whole point of returning, to be able to be free from Klaus by giving him the next doppelgänger.
Btw. I've watched the last two episodes of TW, okay in action though there are a couple things that just scream inconsistent to me.
Also I was reading this article idk where it was from now, but was basically like perhaps why MT was not included on the midseason date release may be because it is bing pushed back to summer or waiting for a space to open up. Whatcha think. I've still not heard anything official yet and they are so tight lipped with the producers on Twitter
Exactly. It makes no sense. He does it like it's nothing. Giving Stefan and Damon immortality, resurrecting them both. It's like these writers don't care how ridiculous this show has become. There's a good chance at leats one of those will happen
Yeah. She forced Mason to trigger the wolf gene a whole year before the Salvatores even came back to town, so Elena never had a chnace at a normal life, with or without the brothers
Let's here them. I've had a couple problems with TW as well.
A lot of people were speculating that it's been pushed back to the summer. I really hope this isn't true but it seems very likely at this point.
Well usually the last season, things just fly out the window with reason (lack thereof) so I'm not surprised.
Well more lives would still be intact with Elena gone than with her here. (Grams for starters..)
One was grandpa Stilinski, is the reasoning behind that he remembers (dead wife Claudia and Stiles) is because he already has Dementia and what the crap with Claudia? (I mean I know that is not her but what the Ghost Riders can just recreate people?) How was Scott able to see the GR, even when Corey was normal (not invisible) he couldn't see them and had to be invisible in order for others so why could he see them. Parish, smh, was the savior species against the beast (but failed) and now is the key against the GR (is it because he is a Hellhound?). I know this is mostly with ep4, I probably had more but I can't remember them now.
Yeah that's really a shame if it has been. I'd rather they wait till the fall then and do a whole 22ep order then. Hopefully we will hear soon though Idk why they would announce EC but not MT. smh
Make sense. The writing is already poor, with this being the last season they probably feel like they don't have to try as hard.
Very true. We can't forget about an entire sireline of vampires. Jeremy may hqve staked Kol, but Elena came up with the idea and went through with it.
Yeah. That was my take from it. Elias can remember because he has dementia. I guess it's somehow affected his memory, making him immune to the Ghost Riders power. No one knows what the deal is with Clauda, how she's alive, who did it, what's going on with her. It's all a mystery. That was actually one of my issues with the episode, Scott being able to see the Ghost Riders. When Corey did the same thing with Mason, that didn't happen, Mason still couldn't see them afterwards. Last season they said something about the hellhounds riding at the side of the Ghost Riders, so there's definitely going to be a connection.
A 22 episode order just might make up for this. I guess we'll have to see what they do
And that is sad. I swear I will be the first to scream at the Tv if they make psychic and magic the same thing or if Cade is a Bennett. Like this last episode really grinds my gears! smh.
Elena is definitely not innocent and that was all because of plot. Smh They could have achieved the same purpose if they had just used Finn instead.
Why would dementia even affect their "power"? I was hoping we'd get some flashbacks or something of Claudia (the only one we got was back in s3 and that was when she was suffering from the frontotemporal dementia)... that in itself is kinda bad writing/rehash with Elias and Claudia basically having the same mental disorder.
Idk how I feel about Parish and his "hellhound-ness". Seems kinda like plot armor to me.
I'm so tired of waiting. Why don't they just announce it already (go ahead and rip the band aid off) I don't think I've ever been this impatient for a show before (well maybe between s4 and s5 for Bonnie and her death.
What was up with that whole psychic energy thing? I'm not familiar with witchy terms, is that an actual thing that was brought up before or is this something TVD is pulling out their ass.
I would've been a lot less pissed if it was Finn. He was a boring on TVD.
That's what I've been wondering. The Ghost Riders can wipe peoples' memory of a person, how doeos dementia prevent that from happening? There's a lot of questions, like why is Corey connected to the Wild Hunt, why does his power allow him to see them? Why can only some people see the Riders. Its kinda annoying but it's still early.
If the Hellhound is plot armor, then he needs an upgrade bc the Beast and the Riders have now kicked his ass. It's time for a Hayley Marshall status upgrade.
I've never been this impateint for a show except TVD S3? That was bc S2 was so damn great.
The latter. Gah that single comment has got me so flustered with the direction they are taking Magic and Bonnie for this final season. This was release a couple days before the episode aired and kinda hinted that, but I didn't actually think they would go that direction.
Finn was in a box all his life and wanted to die and killed only when he reconciled with Sage/Klaus.
Hopefully they will answer a couple of these questions that you and I've posed. It gets annoying when they just gloss over it and is like well it happened so there it is...
A power level over 9000 upgrade lol. Right For a species to be so special and critical to the mythology he has losing every fight status of Scott and Derek. Btw, I kinda laughed that like half the lacrosse team/class was taken by the GR. Are they seriously going to keep using the no memory thing as a viable explanation. Season three was good to. Not sure which I liked more though. Maybe season two start of 3..
That's what I thought. Just like Sirens, Devils and ressurection, it's just an ass pull for their final season. God frobid they actually put in any effort into this. Wow, I read thata ritcle a couple days ago but I somehow missed that. It seems like they're really going through with making witches and psychcis connected.
That's what pisses me off. When they do something like that and dont follow it up. Their inconsistencies are annoying too, they're terrible at dates. According to a couple documents, one shown on the show, anothe recently posted on twitter, Malia is 13/14 and Theo is 14/15. They don't know their own damn time line. Still better than TVD though
Sounds about right. LOL. It is getting tiring. The Hellhound can be cool at times but he's been taking quite a few loses lately. Scott was just standing there growling, at least Liam attacked one of them. S2 will forever be my favorite season of TVD and TW.
I read that article and was like they missed a perfect opportunity to introduce the first Witch and Werewolf, have them connected, but no.. they concoct this sill psychic/siren crap that when introduced is so far out in left field it could be a stand alone season.
I new about the Malia incident. Ha she is like 13 and has the mind of an 8yr old and somehow they keep promoting her up a grade and yet she is struggling and not even passing the test. Hmm Just another reason I do not care for her. I didn't here about the Theo one. Imo Timeline is one of the most important things not to screw up, look at Doctor who (11th and River Song ~~If you watch it that is), I don't think TVD has messed up that bad, but then again its been 8 seasons and I hardly ever edit anything directly about the timeline..
I know, I was kinda hoping he would have at least pushed the girl out of the way, but no. A pity growl is all he did. I don't understand it. Right before the GRs shot Parish I literally was like "why don't the GR just shoot him and make him disappear?" lol guess because they wanted to keep the surprise that it doesn't work on him a little longer.
S2 TW definitely and Stiles from S3B. TVD I like elements from both S2&3
During the break, I rememebr people were speculating that the creature in the vault could've been the original witch. That would've been much better as a final big bad than Sirens. As you've poitned out, we still don't know the origin of witches and wolves. I just don't understand how they come up with this crap.
I like Malia but it amazes me that she somehow manages to keep passing. The Theo incident is new, like within the last week. Cody Christian posted booking sheet on twitter. It also has him name wrong, it's listed as Raeken Theo. I really hope they don't air this. It becomes canon at that point. When I said "still better than TVD" I wasn't talking about the timeline, I meant the show in general.
Well, Parrish's fame turned green, so that bullet definitely did something to him. Some people think he's not a hellhound any more. I guess I'll find out tonight.
Agreed. 100%. Tood bad these writers have no understanding of logical thinking.
Theo didn't need to grow on me. He's been my favorite character since early S5, when he was first introduced. I know, when all this first went down with Malia, there was a discussion about it. We decided it was best for that not to be considered as canon since it was so inaccurate.
We know that the hellhound and Ghost Riders are connected. Scott or Stiles (can't remember which) called it a magic bullet. Those bullets can make people disappear. Parrish was hit with one, he didn't disappear but his flame turned green, which has never happened before. I think its possible he's no longer a hellhound or its dormant or something like that.
Dang I thought I replied to this ages ago. Apparently wiki didn't take my comment.
I'm generally distrustful of any new character but Theo came in BSing from the start and didn't really like him. Although he's proved to be a pretty interesting villain (hopefully they wont try to redeem him like what a lot of shows are doing atm)
Yeah I get that they are connected though "Magic" bullet aside still seems fishy too me (lol magic bullet going back to ep4.. that was a good one). The green fire was interesting though. I just dunno. The bullet is suppose to drag them into there holding dimension or where they go (where Stiles and Peter are)... logically, perhaps maybe Parrish's hellhound nature (beast personified) was taken? Idk I shouldn't really try to think logically with this show anymore.
That's what I liked. They made it obviously from the beginning that Theo was going to be bringing hell, and that's exactly what he did. That's my biggest fear at the moment, I'm hoping Theo hasn't changed due to his time spent in the ground. That's gonna suck. It would be like redeeming Kai.
This entire season seems pretty fishy, so I think that's fitting. I'm not sure that happened either, it's just the guess. It could be something else entirely.
Maybe it was a turn off for me because it was so blaringly obvious and I kept screaming at Scott not to trust him.. When it is that obvious, it only takes a little common sense and he blew that out the water for me.
That being said. I hope he is not redeemed. I hope it is still all about him and getting power at the end of the day when he comes out the ground. Some characters just need to be evil for the sake of being evil.
Seems like if they can completely ease people, rooms, etc these relics is a bit far-fetched and the whole "law of conservation of matter" that I believe Lydia quoted. Seems a little contradictory..
It made no sense that Scott would trust this guy that he hasn't seen in years over his best friend. It was annoying that Scott was so trusting. But Theo was genius, infiltrate the pack to beat them. No one had done that before.
Me too. I hope they he kills the Alpha Nazi Werewolf, and with his new found power, he leaves town to build his own evil pack. That's my ending for Theo.
Exactly. It a contradiction, but the writers needed some way for them to remember Stiles. I'll just look past it.
Yeah. Theo's still a Chimera, but he's part werewolf. Apparently that would've been enough for him to kill an alpha and become a real alpha werewolf. That was his plan the entire time. Corey and Theo are the only Chimeras left.
Lazy writing indeed. We're already 4 episodes in, and we're seeing all these exceptions.
I'm still kinda pissed that Theo couldn't take Scott power because he is a "true" (lame) alpha. Where else in BH will Theo get the power from (well the Nazi now, but I highly doubt he will be a match for him, just like with the Beast)
How was tonight's episode? We finally get to see some Stile/Peter interaction right? (This is taking place, from Stiles' prospective, right after he is taken?)
Me too. He definitely killed Scott in the 5A finale. It would've been awesome if he became an Alpha. Not necessarily. The Beast was the most powerful werewolf we've seen this far. Theo was weaker than the Beast but this doesn't mean he'll be weaker than an Alpha. Theo has the power of a werewolf, werecoyote, kanima, and whatever the hell Josh was (Electrokinesis). I'd say that evens the odds.
It was decent. Mostly Stiles and Peter. There was a lot of them interacting, it was good. We learn how Peter escaped Eichen and when the Riders took him. It's mostly from Stiles' perspective, but not when he was first taken. It takes place right after the last episode.
I would have like to see him become alpha. Idk the alpha seems like he is bulking up on power with those pituitary glands lol. The whole chimera thing still baffles me. I get the progression of power, i.e. the alpha pack alphas taking power from there beta, but would Theo actually have the individual abilities say the Kanima (Tracey), i.e. produce the paralytic venom?
Sweet. I miss me some Peter and super glad they explain that mess from the previous season. Unless I dl it later, I probably wont get to it until Friday/Saturday unfortunately.
Damn. I forgot the Nazi Alpha isn't a normal werewolf. That's what Posey said in an interview. Argent also said his jaw strength is unusually powerful. Either its the pinel glands he's eating or the Dread Doctors modified him or both, but he's stronger. So this won't be easy on Theo. Yes, Theo has those powers now. He used his kanima venom claws to paralyze Scott in the S5B finale. He also used his Electrokinesis on Scott and Liam in that same episode.
I get it. I'm 2 episodes behind on TWD. Life keeps you busy.
Hmm. I need to rewatch it. I could have swore it was something different.. I miss Tracey. She was actually a decided half breed Kanima.
Lol idk what what glad it was. I thought they said "master" gland. Seems a bit of a stretch for him to get power that way when he is attacking humans. At least Duke was kill his supernatural betas and taking their power.
I'm so far behind on TWD, I'll have to catch up on new years when they do their normal marathon
I liked Tracy. Probably bc I liked the Kanima storyline from S2 so much. "a decided half breed Kanima" - I feel like that was suppose to say something else.
That's what I was thinking but according to Argent, some myths say that the pineal gland is connected to the soul. So maybe that's how he gets the power and human targets are just easier. Deucalion was so awesome. It was great seeing him return last season. He played the hell out of Theo.
Let me know what you think when you catch up. Negan is such a boss. By far one of my favorite antagonist.
Ha it was supposed to be "decent".. mobile autocorrect. I didn't care for the wendigo or the electrokinesis chimeras.
Sad about his eyes though they screwed him over again, though he seemed to calm down from the alpha season to last.
I've seen just a few gif and scenes about him. Apparently he is just dominating Rick and he is submitting to it. Sounds quite humiliating tbh. I did watch the Red head and Glenn's death scene. That was freaking brutal! I do want to catch up. But I'm at least a season and a half behind. I stopped watching right after the wolves broke into Alexandria and they were over ran with Walkers I kinda caught up when that Mother and her two sons were killed and the town's people came together and they killed all the walkers (and Glenn saved Maggie).
Me neither. Josh didn't say or do much, and Donovan just don't catch my interest.
His eyes? Deucalion's? It was revealed at the end of the season that he was faking his blindness. Deuc can still see.
It's beyond domination. Don't even know what to call it. He owns Rick, there's no other way to put it, Rick has submitted. And it is very humiliating. I've never seen anyone control the group like this before. Those deaths scenes were the worst, I don't think I've ever seen a tv scene like that before. I didn't care that much about Abraham but Glenn was my favorite. It was hard to watch that. Damn. You really fell behind. That's gonna take some time to catch up.
Lol alrighty. Apparently the end of last season just didn't resonate with me or my memory is screwed up :P Edit: okay I just I'm back up to speed. I read through Apotheosis synopsis on TW wiki..
Yup.. I really hate being this far behind. I don't have AMC and barely have the time to dl or watch it anymore. I heard about the whole "dick in your mouth" comment from Negan. That's pretty much the lowest of the low points. I feel like I'm really going to hate Negan because of what he's done/doing, yet really like him because as far as bad guys go, he makes the governor look like a kitten lol.
Haha. It happens. I feel like that about TVD at times. I just forget chunks of it at moments.
That quote was epic. And it pretty much covers it. That's exactly whats happening. Negan nailed it. That's how I am. It's a really conflicted feeling. I hate him for what he did to Glenn, but as far as awesome bad guys goes, he's definitely at the top of the list.
I really hope to get caught up soon. New years would be the best however, I need to get caught up on some other things (perhaps this weekend) and I still want to read the midnight crossroads series (I have the first two books).
Hey Bennett and Kev, sorry I haven't been as active on this wiki. I've been busy with finals and I've been trying to manage another wiki. The other wiki I'm managing is going through a major cleanup, lol.
Kev hopefully things get better sooner rather than later. :)
Karen it was really random, but then again each of the separate movies were as well so apparently they are following fashion. I'm happy with the current season so far, Cassandra is actually using more magic and hopefully she will grow into the alter-reality version of herself.
I actually was gonna mention Cassandra. Lol she's using more magic and I think it's great! Perhaps we'll all have the witch show we're looking for (or just for this one season being the randomness never ceases, lol).
I guess haha. Apparently I forgot about all of season two and the randomness that was. I hope it gets renewed though I really like the cast and the individual season (that could really be standalone). I was just on their wiki and it's depressing. Three seasons in and the wiki is dead there is a lot of stuff missing for everything and I believe has been abandoned by the Founder/bureaucrat. It's truly sad. I'd start working there but its not like I don't already have a busy schedule and actively contribute here and on TVD. Oh well guess I can be everywhere at once.
Somehow I just don't believe it. It's late spring and I'd think that on a Sunday, competition with OUAT may not be beneficial towards ratings. That and it possibly being in April would completely suck.
Hmm I guess. The least they could do for the increased wait is add more episodes to it. They officially announced it back in May and it is supposedly near may 2017 before it airs almost a full year for such a small episode order. :(
I had read somewhere that the Emerald City order/premiere was delayed for a couple years before they found the right scheduling. Hmm I guess I'll watch that until MT airs. I really doubt it will get a second season. The special effects probably shot up the budget and if the ratings aren't there then they wont justify continuing it.
I'd be for that, but I'm really impatient right now. While more episodes would be great, so would the midseason schedule.
Promos, screenshots, synopsis are already out for like the first 3 episodes of Emerald City. I feel like if Midnight was midseason, then they would be around the same point as far as promotion is concerned, but that clearly isn't the case.
I feel the same way. Even if it is April, that is still apart of the Midseason is it not? They should be promoting it already or at least drop another trailer or something with promo shots of the cast. Smh, I hope they release something good soon!
Fyi. I'll try to continue to update Midnight Crossroads in some of my spare time. I'd avoid it if you still wanna read the book. Otherwise we need to 'hide it' or have a spoiler notice at the top of the page. Also, thought about tabbing the characters or something that way they could have a little more details about them and what they do/accomplish. That way we wont have individual novel pages i.e. Fiji Cavanaugh (Trilogy), etc., unless that is a route you'd want to take. (Given only three books, I think the former over the latter is more acceptable).
Yeah. I'm pretty sure April is still midseason. Another trailer would be great right about now. They're really slacking in the promotion. Which only makes I seems like Midnight won't be released any time soon.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll just avoid the page. I don't go there often any ways. But I do think a spoilers warning might be necessary for others. I can create one in the morning, it's getting late and I'm tired right now. You mean creating tabbers on the novel Pages for the characters? If so then go for it
Yeah which is sad. I really didn't want to wait that long but I guess I have a few other shows to keep me entertained until it does.
I haven't decided yet if I want to do tabbers or if I want to do a single new page (like the minor character page that you set up for the series.) Regardless, we need a tabbers template and I can work on that later. Once you have a spoiler notice, let me know if you're still wanting to avoid the page and I can add it.
Same here. I have Flash, LoT, TW and TWD. That should be able to keep me busy if we do have to wait until the summer.
Which ever you go with would be fine. I can go to the novel page now, I wrote most of it, Lol, I can't spoil myself of what I already read. I just meant I'll probably be avoiding it in the future. The spoiler noticed has been added. What do you think? It's bigger once it's added to a page.
Yeah I'm disappointed to. Idk who the MT women was, I guess she was one of the casting directors, but she mentioned gypsies. This is the first I've heard of this (species? not sure). I'd hope that she'd know her own show she's working for. Maybe now with a new outlet (for NM) is reporting it, we'll get something official here soon. Maybe some more promotion too with a few episode synopsis and photos too.
This is the first I've heard of gypsies as well. Maybe a subspecies. Promotional photos and synopsis would be awesome right about now. They've barely given us anything since that trailer. It's depressing. The on show I'm waiting for the most, is the one I'm forced to wait the longest for. That's just my luck
I feel yah. I hope the wait is worth it. I don't think I'll be disappoint thought I just wished it would hurry up and get here.
I also hope if they introduce gypsies they don't stretch out their characters/plot to shove a lot of things at us or the opposite and barely stretch the surface with the individual species. I kinda feel like gypsies would fall under the witch-"related" field though.
I'm expecting awesomeness from this show, so I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
Yeah. That's what I was thinking when I said subspecies. I could see them falling under the witch category. Gypsies aren't really my thing, so I'm not really concerned with this too much. As long as they pull it off. I hate incomplete species.
I hope so. The hype is real even with the scraps we do have.
I'm liking the variety but like you said. I hope they are completely fleshed out. So far the first book has only mentioned vampire, witch and psychic and eluded to the Rev and Joe. They also had other unnamed species too. :)
Hopefully, they don't pull a TVD and end the show without even explaining the origin of their main creatures. Baffles me how we still don't know about the witches and wolves. That actually sounds pretty cool. Only makes me more anxious though.
I'm not even gonna start with the Siren BS. Agreed, it is doubtful, even more so with the possibility of Samir being a Siren, so that BS may be shifting over to TO. We're in for a rough season. The closest we got to the origin of werewolves was an off-hand comment by Markos. He said the magic free zone would strip Tyler (Julian) of everything the witches did to him aka vampirism, he never mentioned his lycanthropy. So it suggest that werewolves are a natural occurrence.
Lol true. But it also "untriggered" him too, which in itself seems odd. Sad to think that the siren crap can spill over perhaps it is the end of TO too and they just don't give a crap anymore and plan to use TO to finish up the overall silly plot is the sirens. Even in that, that is contradictory to what sybil says, that there are only two.
Making Tyler untriggered never made sense to me (or anyone for that matter), but I chalked it up to more inconsistent nonsense. JP just wanted Tyler to be human again. I've come yo expect contradictions and inconsistencies from TVD/TO. Yes, Sybil said there were only two, but it was also said that witches can't be vampires, that didn't stop anything
You've got me there. Sad to think it's come to expecting inconsistencies. I really hope that Samir is not a Siren, but then I'm a little horrified about the possibility of what she could be. In the slides, she considers herself a god and the description, seems like she has magic (performs pain infliction on Vincent). Smh I guess we'll find out in March.
TVD is butchering the devil, so it only makes sense that TO would do the same with god, if this is the route they're going. I don't even know which idea I hate more, fake god or BS Sirens. They both sound terrible.
Well being honest, the BS Sirens are horrible and has sounded horrible from the beginning. So far there has been nothing appealing about them. So far with Samir all we have is the slides, which could be fake/altered from the actual script so, I'm kinda out on that at the moment. I'd rather think she is a crazy witch that sees herself god-like and hopefully they will stop with the devil crap in TVO.
The Sirens are by far the worst species to be introduced. They're weak af. I'm not disappointed though, simply bc I went into S8 with very low expectations. They've butchered siren mythology. I doubt it's a witch. Samir eats people, our best bet is that Samir is a Heretic.
Lol yup. This season has been the worse one yet, which is sad, but they are ending it and they obviously don't care. Even with the introduction of the Armory Monster and the previous season, I was not impressed nor expected much.
I might would be surprised if it was a witch. If it turns out to be a Heretic, I'll be floored. Like another Gemini witch is just going to waltz into NO and be like bow down to me, I'm a god and I eat people. hmm that will be the writers craping on everything once again.
One of the things that annoy me the most is that JP commented a couple times that the monster would be CGI. Really? One hand counts as the monster being CGI? Smh
A witch would be a surprise, but TO has never been known for it's element of surprise, for example, Kol/Kaleb, Finn/Vincent, Hope/baby jesus, Lucien being the killer. They have no idea how to write a mystery. I just expect the worst from these writers. Really don't see TO making it past this season
I never expected much with CGI. Special effects are expensive and typically final seasons lack the budget to perform them as they once did. They already have a reduced season and a magic-less Bonnie. So far that's kept the special effect budget in check. I would still have liked to see something more with the CGI though because like you said a hand doesn't count.
I don't either. I think right before they premiere they will promo for the series finale. Midseason push and reduced season already don't look good and if the ratings play a part then sadly, it is probably on its way out.
The siren storyline got old for me fast. Also, I was scrolling through the TVD Discussions page last night. Some of the commenters in Discussions are already starting to ship Sybil with either Salvatore brother...lol so it makes me sort of glad that TVD is ending for the sole reason of no more backwards shipping...
I didn't expect much either in the form of CGI but if a hand was all that we were gonna get, she shouldn't have said anything. I'm expecting as little promotion for TO as possible, the network clearly doesn't care anymore. This is it.
Really? We're shipping Sybil now? She's bad enough on her own. I should expect nothing less from TVD fans though.
This has always been my question as well. I just don't see the appeal of most of this shipping, at least it wasn't as bad in the earlier seasons, it was balanced. Now the ships over run the story. Look at Caroline, she's a walking ship.
Hopefully, the CW is done with JP after this. They couldn't possibly consider giving her more work.
Caroline has really gotten on my nerves this season, though because "she has kids" I highly doubt they will kill her off, like Alaric. Although I can see them killing Alaric just to make he officially the Mommy. smh that's horrible thinking.
Caroline has always been safe, but the twins definitely protect her even more. I could see them killing off Ric just so Caroline can move to NOLA and raise her family with Klaus. That's a worst case scenario, but it could happen.
Lol talk about from the frying pan to the furnace. That would directly contradict her comment about protecting "her" children. Because you know Klaus is a big 'ole ball f fluff and cuddles. I so hope that doesn't happen. They just need to let Caroline die and have Alaric go about his merry little way someplace safe.
Yeah, it would contradict that but I could see the writers coming up with some BS story that would involve Klaus protecting the kids bc he's so powerful. That's always been my hope for Ric, I don't really like him, I don't hate him either, but he's not a bad guy. Just let him take his girls and get out the supernatural world.
I'm more annoyed than I as disappointed, as you know, I don't have high expectations. Turning Bonnie into a vampire is gonna piss me off, especially if it works, bc it shouldn't. Becoming a vamp would've been the first thing Kai though of. It's not much of a fail safe if they figure it out with the obvious solution.
My expectations have already died of over exertion of trying to have some kinda expectation. Gah as much as I love Bonnie I would rather see her dead because they attempted to circumvent the curse and have them both die. I will be the spiteful/salty whatever Bonnie supporter and pull the if I can have Bonnie then you can't have Elena card.
They just need to let her be, have her happy full life and let her die of old age with Enzo and let her enjoy her grandbabies and what not.
It would be so cheap to turn Bonnie into a vampire just to bring Elena back, but it was also cheap to kill Tyler the way they did, yet they still went with it. I'm gonna be pissed, but I won't be surprised if they turn her. It's lazy writing but it's what I've come to expect
I'd be good with that. Bonnie deserves a normal and happy life, but I somehow see her being screwed in the end. Maybe she'll sacrifice herself one last time and end up in hell or some BS like that.
It's a huge disservice to the character, but I'd expect nothing less from them bc it's Bonnie. This is typical Bonnie treatment
Just added an Admin temp to my user page. Feel free to use it if you want. It has the Adminstration category embedded, so it'll add you to that category. It'll automatically adjust to your username once added
This is/will be the worse thing that they can do. It will be Abby all over again thought this time it will be so OOC because they will probably have Bonnie agree to it or have her decision made for her by Enzo.
It'll be worse than the situation with Abby. Bonnie has never shown any desire to be a vampire, not once. She'd never willingly become a vampire, and I';m going to be just as mad if they somehow force her to become a vampire. It shouldn't work, and even if it does, still a cheap move.
Seems like 10 is the official episode count. Disappointed about the decrease in episodes but this should definitely mean it can air midseasons since they only have a couple more episodes to film. He also says fingers crossed for a 2nd season, so I don't think its been scrapped.
Definitely wasn't expecting his eyes to change colors like that. I wonder if it's like that for all creatures, like if he ate a Kanima's pineal gland, would he gain it's powers too. Power stealing. I see Theo getting involved in this somehow. He witnessed it first-hand. The flashback episode for Garrett Douglas (and the Dread Doctors) in WWII is this upcoming episode. Here's the sneak peek. So is he like a Ghost Rider-werewolf hybrid? That's what I want to know. And why he's so invested in the Ghost Riders.
I mean he already looked like a Demon wolf and then supercharged with power stealing (which I don't see how that helped with humans) with the Ghost Rider guy is just freaky. I do like the new eye color. The trailer was interesting and it seems he did encounter them in WWII.
I can see him being a hybrid of sorts now. Though why did he go after corey? I mean I can see why logically with a Nazi mind set, but was it because he could go invisible?
His werewolf form was badass. I wish they did more of that. Douglas took out the Ghost Rider like it was nothing. It was said the Ghost Riders are stuck in Beacon Hills, it's a good chance this was his doing. But why does he want to erase people? I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how he got involved with the Dread Doctors and the Ghost Riders.
I have no idea why he went after Corey but I doubt it's bc he can turn invisible. That power is useless against supernatural creatures bc they almost always know he's there, even Mason knew, he's human.
I know. The Ghost Riders are supposed to be unstoppable and he took one down like it was nothing. Yeah I don't know how they are tying all of this together.. seems like leaps and bounds.
Well I meant his powers made the GR visible, without him can they still continue to see them? (I assume so because they have already seen them.) Lol that was lame I was like you are so not even special. Mason can even see you. Such useless characters.
The pack has already been marked by the Ghost Riders, all but Malia I think. She may be the only one that can't see them. They no longer need Corey, so that's what makes it even weirder, what would be the point of taking Corey if the pack doesn't even need him anymore? I thought it could've had something to do with Corey being a Chimera but then I remembered that Douglas went right past Theo. Hopefully, they don't save Corey. Leet him ride the hunt forever. He's so useless.
Is Theo even technically a Chimera anymore. He lost the powers he stole..
Corey offers nothing to the plot. Mason is just another Stiles and just a background character... Right now I could care less about them. Parrish is kinda getting on my nerves atm too. Like he is another rip off of Lydia not knowing his powers and crap. smh. Same old regurgitated stuff in a different form.
Theo lost the powers he stole, the powers that he killed Josh and Tracy for, but he still has his own powers. "Classic Theo" is what he called it (werewolf-werecoyote chimera). Remember when he pulled himself out the ground he still had his fangs, claws and glowing eyes.
Corey is a love interest and Mason is obviously Stiles 2.0. They couldn't have made it anymore obvious. Hadn't even though off Parrish like that but you make a good point. I get he's scared, but the hellhound is a powerhouse, they're gonna need him.
Yeah but I though the werecoyote part is gone too. Having his sister's heart was what made him a Chimera was it not?
I like they are exploring Lydia's power a bit more and I figured Claudia wasn't real/a ghost. Though it would have been more interesting if only Lydia was the one who could see them. How does the Ghost riders even have that power? They didn't even collect the boy's soul, he drowned. I'm so confused with this mythology
No. He still has the werecoyote part too. Having his sister's heart is what made him a genetic Chimera, which made him suitable for the experiment to become a monster chimera. His sister's heart didn't actual give him powers.
The Banshee vs Banshee in Canaan was kinda cool. A Banshees being left behind after the Wild Hunt is just one more thing they'r immune to, like Mountain ash, Kanima venom etc. I think everyone knew something was off wit Claudia, I just didn't suspect actual ghosts. I'm not sure how it works either, but apparently, it's not the Ghost Riders that bring them back, it's the people that miss them after the Ghost Riders strike their town.
Genetic yes. Alright. I like the Lydia scene in Canaan. I was hoping there would have been a little more explanation but it even seemed that the women (I forget her name) didn't even realize what she was (because she didn't know why she was left behind --which is weird by the way) How does being a banshee make them immune. They are still supernatural... i.e. just like the Ghost riders are not able to cross the Mountain ash but with enough force they can break the line, but super Alpha Nazi wolf still needed Theo (is that void now with his green eyes).
So Claudia is an in-intended consequence --the other banshee women said they returned him to her and she and the boy could move things with their minds.
Lenore was her name. They were very unclear on causes the ghosts to appear. Lenore made it sound like the Riders did it but Lydia made it sound like Lenore did it, it's confusing and frustrating, but that's Teen Wolf's style. Jeff confirmed that Banshees aren't supernatural, they can tap into the supernatural, but they themselves aren't. I guess there's just something genetically different about the Banshees that make them immune to certain supernatural elements. Now that Douglas has the power and whip of a Ghost Rider, he should be able to break through a mountain ash barrier just like that other Rider did at the party.
That's probably the best way to look at it.When someone is taken by the Riders, certain people need that void to be filled, so thats unknowingly allows them to conjure someone.
Wait wait wait. Banshee are not supernatural... yet they can "tap" into the supernatural. That is a load of bull. Banshees are definitely Supernatural to sense/predict death, have the wail and apparently voice/telekinesis stuff. That is like say a Psychic is not supernatural but can communicate with the dead.. Oh my that just makes no complete sense!
^I like the conjuring explanation but it as to why/how doesn't make sense to me.
I may have told you this before, the admin on the TW wiki (Paul) has Jeff's contacts. There was similar discussion going on amongst us fans about this awhile ago. Jeff jumped in, so this was his response. I don't get it either but under the rules of Teen Wolf, a supernatural creature cannot touch mountain ash, which Lydia can. It makes sense with the Chimeras, they're made with science, but Banshees are born.
I'm hoping they further explain that but I'm not counting on it.
You have (about them being buddy, buddy) and that is absolutely absurd imo. I just don't have any words for. Chimera's yes and no because they have been engineered by science (though as a hybrid they possess supernatural qualities --they should be affected) smh. That logic Derek is not supernatural because he was born. They are trashing their own mythology. I've always considered Lydia as a supernatural species. smh.. I'm flabbergasted, truly.
Theo said that the Chimeras were cheap knock-offs, so they're artificial, so to me that always made perfect sense why they weren't supernatural. They're fakes.
"That logic Derek is not supernatural because he was born" - Not sure what you mean by this. They're not saying that Lydia isn't supernatural bc she was born a Banshee, they're saying she's not supernatural bc she can touch mountain ash. Being able to do what they can do, one would certainly think they're supernatural.
I get that they are 'knock-offs' but imo that shouldn't discredit them as being supernatural even engineered through science. They are like the Dread Doctors, they were a mix of both.
^Yeah that may have been a stretch of a comment but logically she would be supernatural. Not every 'human' can tap into it so that should make her something more than human and the bite may have ignited the flame, but then she should have turned or died (or did it just cancel each other out -it's been a while since what season 1/2 I don't remember when her powers awoken.)
Both views are legitimate but I still think it makes sense they weren't considered real supernaturals. Its like fake Jordans, sure they look like the real ones but the fake ones often consist of noticeable flaws, in the Chimeras case, that would be bleeding mercury.
I agree. There's no logical explanation for why she's not. Yeah, Peter told Stiles the bite either kills you or turned you but of course there are always exceptions to just about any rule, Banshees are that exception. Peter bit Lydia at the end of S1 and her powers began to manifest at the very beginning of S2
I liked 3A more than I liked 3B. 3B was great but 3A was very.... werewolfy? That damn sure ain't word but I'm using it! It was heavy werewolf mythology, which I'm always looking for. Alphas, how they work, stealing power, Talia Hale, Deucalion. It was a little rushed but that's bc Colton left at the last minute. It screwed up some of the story for 3A. Speaking of which, Jackson might return in 6B. Colton said on Facebook live that he's been in contact with the show and if his schedule is willing, he'll be back on.
Such a missed opportunity. They should've expanded on her more. That's just another reason a spin-off about the Hale family would be great. Many fans want a prequal. The Hale family prior to the House Fire.
Same here. I want both back but Isaac would be my first choice.
I don't see a prequel spinoff happing. I think that fan's have pretty much left the show at this point. The ratings alone have plummeted and I've not really seen a positive review in the last couple of episodes. Hmm. the rating alone might jeopardize the 6B -could get scrapped before they even film (unless they've already film 6B? not sure)
I'd prefer Isaac. Although a reunion with Jackson and Lydia would be interesting imo. :)
Obviously not, Jeff said he doesn't have any plans for a spin off but if there were one, I like the thought of a series around the entire Hale family, Talia, Peter, Derek, Cora and Laura. They're already half way done with filming 6B. Besides, MTV never only looked to rating for Teen Wolf, which by the way, is on the top 20 shows in worldwide as far as viewer demands go, apparently 2.0 million demand expressions per day. The fans are still active, people just aren't watching live.
I thought about that too. Jackson doesn't know the Lydia we know. He doesn't know that she's a Banshee, and that she's grown as a person.
Well I guess that's good. I was close to stop watching (though I don't watch live). This season has been pretty boring for me tbh. The last bit the Nazi wolf last episode finally perked things up, made it interesting.
Right. I think it would be an interesting dynamic and I would think that Jackson could have matured in that time as well, not being the high school douche bag anymore.
I rarely watch anything live. Don't have the time. TVD/TO and TW are the only shows I try to watch live, sometimes I can't even do that. I agree, it's had a few good moments but overall it hasn't been as good as it could be. But I'm looking forward to this flashback ep.
I want Jackson to have grown up and matured but I also still want to be able to tell it's Jackson. He still has to be an asshole, just a little bit though.
Awe that suck. Hopefully it is more than just that trailer though.
That sad and kinda gross. I highly doubt Jackson would even consider Malia.
Umm. I can't remember is it had a special name (I'd have to revisit the book) but I think they just referred to it as The Chapel. Although it could probably with.. Maybe Chapel and Pet Cemetery. I just don't think their will be enough information to justify two articles for something that is ran by the same person. I think in the course of the first book, the Rev had one Wedding and one pet burial. So I don't know how much they will cover within 10 episodes (since they are covering three)
It's gonna be more than that sneak peek we saw. In one of the trailers for the season, they showed the Dread Doctors putting Garrett in the tank, and a couple other scenes with him in his Nazi uniform.
Shippers will ship anything. Doesn't even matter if the two characters have never met.
I think The Chapel and Pet Cemetary is a goon name, at least until they confirm a name either online or through the show.
Good I rather like their flashbacks the majority of the time. I think the only one that I found difficult to watch was the Claudia one.
Gah shippers get on my nerves. I generally find it okay to ship a couple, which is fine, everyone has their own opinions, but typically with social media they go absolutely crazy. Hound the actors and writers and such and turn everything about the smallest detail and drive focus away from other important details.
Midnight Crossroads simply refers to it as "Wedding Chapel and Pet Cemetery" --I was close to the name.
You talking about the S5 flashback with Stiles and Stilinksi? That one felt kinda random. It came out of nowhere.
I don't ship at all but I don't mind the ones that do. It's crazy fangirls that annoy me. The ones that are obsessed with it and have to make every topic about it. They're so entitled as if their ship should come before all. One of the things I hate the most is thehate on a character bc they're "in the way" of another ship. Like Stydia shippers hating Malia only cause she's with Stiles. It's so stupid.
I was out of nowhere and it was just really sad about what Claudia was suffering from. I'm siting here trying to figure out what lead to that flashback and I'm blanking.
Lol If I'm going to hate a character I'll have a list of reasons why not just be they are 'incorrectly' shipped. Those fans are absurd. I very rarely ship anyone. Mostly because it just doesn't seem real most of the time. I like character development, emotional attachment, etc., I want it to look believable and generally that is not the case.
I couldn't rememebr at first either, now I do. Stiles read the Dread Doctors book, which would cause the reader to remember forgotten memories.
Exactly. It's petty. I can't hate a character just bc they're supposedly blocking a relationship. I hate the lack of character development. Throw 'em into a ship and see how that goes seems to be a route taken way too often.
Hmm yeah the book. To remember forgotten memories. I guess since Stiles was young and (because I watched a clip) assaulted by a crazed Claudia, repressed them. Seems like they could have brought up Claudia flashbacks way before S5 but this current Ghost version is a bit of a dick. Like she is horrible to Lydia and I didn't like what 'Noah' (gah I hate that name -I had read that fans had nicknamed him John i.e. John Doe, because he went unnamed for so long) said to her in the last episode so OOC imo.
Throwing together characters without any development (on screen) is horrible writing. Many of the TW ships have been that way. That is the one reason I was so resistant about Bonnie and Enzo. Presenting them like "Here, just accept this" is too much.
It was very last minute but that's probably bc they were already planning on bringing Claudia in for S6. Jeff often plans ahead, so they probably just wanted to throw her into S5 so that we could at least get a glimpse of her. Claudia's a bitch, I hate her her. She treats Lydia like she's the enemy, and that's probably bc Lydia would be the one to piece it all together. The name doesn't really bother me but it's underwhelming after 6 seasons of wondering.
Bonnie and Enzo was random AF. Not as random as Caroline and Ric but still pretty random. I didn't see it coming, but they probably figured that they weren't gonna do anything with Bonnie, so they had to throw her into a ship. They were clearly thinking ahead for this season.
Ghost, memory, whatever Claudia is, she was completely rude to Lydia and Noah's attitude is awful. I can understand her more than him, though. What ever illusion is keeping her here, she doesn't want it broken. Given everything that he knows and what Lydia is and have/can do, I don't understand his reaction. He shouldn't treat Lydia like that no matter the denial he was in..
Caroline and Ric was less random than Bonnie and Enzo... I understood that because of the kids. He latter was a shock to the system.
I also had a problem with the way Stilinski was behaving bc it didn't make sense. He was such a non-believer to the possibility that someone could've been taken from him. Why? He knows about the supernatural, he knows what the Ghost Riders are capable of, why was it so hard to understand that someone was taken. He should've been more trusting of Lydia and Scott. I expected more of him.
Nah. Caroline and Ric had my mind rolling. It was the weirdest thing ever, and I didn't see it coming bc they never had a relationship like that. And Ric is too damn old to be trying to hook up with the teens he looked after in high school. I eventually got past the shock of Benzo, but Caroline and Ric will forever be a no-go
Yeah Noah really let me down this episode. I Guess grief and denial could be to blame (i.e. losing his wife, again, to find out he had a son, only to be taken by the GR) its just too much. I agree after everything they've been through his trust was all but non-existent.
Lol Nah the mommy angle was what I had from the beginning. I'll admit the age different is quite large so as far as romantic I'm not sure, I don't even recall them kissing on screen, so the "happy family" made sense.
Speaking of ship. Are they hinting a Melissa/Argent pairing. I was thinking Melissa and 'Noah' would be end given so that Scott and Stiles would actually be (step) brothers. Hmm wonder if it will change once Claudia is sent away/returned wherever... Btw I loved the second date comment from Peter, gah I've missed the snarkiness XD
